Children enhance their gross motor skills, coordination and physical fitness through lifting, pouring, carrying, running and splashing, while actions such as squeezing help to develop the small muscles in a child's hands. Water play is not a scheduled activity, however we set up water toys as the weather permits.

DEVELOPMENTAL CENTERS

Centers allows children to learn in the most meaningful way, through hands-on play experiences with no rules or regulations. Centers will be utilized so children learn to self regulate and learn the importance of time management. Each day the children will have an hour to choose whatever centers they would like to spend their time. We change out the centers as we see fit (based on the season) but generally we have a reading center, science center, art center, sensory center and writing center.
